Just an update. Scorched Parts 7075 rear hub carriers. Nice pieces and they have tightened everything up. Hopefully now the weather is getting nicer, I can get the Limitless out more.

I hear he made them wider at the base to eliminate the need for so much spacing. Did it require many shims?

Yes the base was tighter in the lower arm. I still used one shim though.

He also supplied shims for the bearings but I couldn't fit them. It was already tight enough. I actually had to shave a bit off one of the hexs as it was too tight.

Good to know. My ADHD makes me plan for multiple builds/upgrades at a time and I collect parts in labeled boxes waiting to start the project. And then…look, a pony!…I lose track of what I have going on.
I think I already have Vitavon rear carriers for the build I’m thinking of, but if I don’t I’ll definitely be ordering the Scorched ones.
I always wondered why Arrma and everybody else made them so narrow at the base, requiring spacers or entire stacks of bushings to get them right. The ability to use just one shim to set them up is a huge improvement.

I can't compare them to the Vitavon but I have no regrets buying these.

The Vitavons are nice, but they are just as narrow at the base as the Arrma ones. The Scorched seems like a better mousetrap.
If you'd like, I'll get some dimensions tomorrow. Just to be sure it's not just the placebo effect on my behalf.

I’ll try to get down to my joint and see if I do have any of the Vitavon uprights in stock. If I do I’ll mic the base. If I had to bet, I’d say it will be at least 3mm more narrow than the Scorched units.

Scorched = 24mm
Arrma = 22mm

Also, I was 100% correct about the shims. I had 1 thin shim on either side of the carrier.
