Does your roto fly pack have a balancing tap on it? What type of charge lead does it have? I have an e-flite charger that might work for you.

its just like the one linked above, its just got a red plug, simular to the RX plugs that came on the first gen savages with the 4 AA holder. no balancing tap, just one plug.

Let me see if I can make a charge adapter from an e-flite balancing tap and a JST female connector. I'll just need to figure out how the shared negative lead is wired. If it works I'll send it over for the cost of shipping.

Another option is using the e-flite packs. How snugly do the rotofly packs fit in the heli? Is there a way you can install a thinner but slightly longer pack in it? If you already have a lot of rotofly packs invested then forget about it but if switching to e-flite packs (or packs of similar dimension) is possible, it would make sense to go with the e-flite packs because you would retain the pack balancing feature of the charger.

actually a new pack would be a good idea, this is the same one that kind of swelled up on me for no reason. it never vented and i dont have any openings in the plastic cover, but I'm still weary of it and was gonna charge it out in the driveway the first few times.

the holder for the bat is pretty flexable. how much longer are they? what about weight difference? will it throw off the cog? I'm intersted if you have a pack and charger i can try.

EDIT: just looked at the dimesions on the hobby sites,

rotofly
1.98length
1.17width
.56thick

e-flite
.95length
2.75width
.70thick

dont think they will work... :(

You have the width and length reversed on the e-flite packs, they are .95 wide, and 2.75 in length.

I run a 300mah larger than stock pack in my CX2 and I get longer runtimes. The weight difference makes the motors run slightly warmer.
