Possibly the very early T/E-Maxx that both had a 2-speed transmission, but the later E-Maxx models dropped that feature, and the T-Maxx also had a reverse that the E-Maxx eliminated.

The first gen T-Maxx was an automatic 2 speed with 3rd channel reverse.The first gen E-Maxx is a 3rd channel shifting 2 speed. No trans reverse. ESC controls reverse.
