i know you said nitro, but what about electric? they are some much easier and no worry of a flame out mid lake. :)

yeah, this is a shameless plug for th boat i'm selling...

i have a aquacraft 27 brushless boat...RTR... : ) selling since i have no need for it.

naaa,i like the power and nosie of nitro engines:D:hehe:,i think there more fun.but i have seen the electric, not bad.

The Nitro-Vee isn't that great. The onboard starter and RTS system really weigh the boat down which kills performance. Driving a steerable outdrive can get "interesting" if not set up correctly.
You are better off looking at the Super-Vee 27.

Hey ron thanks for helping me so much!, yea I've seen the videos of the boat and it does look knind of slow. I like the SV27 much better.

Here's one video with my son driving the boat and someone else shooting it. The video plays twice as a forewarning.

Watch it in full-screen and carefully as my son was getting a little crazy with it.

That lake is about 1-1/4 miles north of my house. I used to host an annual event there, just a run what ya brung event so we'd have all kinds of boats showing up.
I got the boat from Mike "Grimracer" Zaborowski himself for free a few days before they hit the market. It was a shock to me as he asked me to stop by the Tower Hobbies/Aquacraft/OS/Futaba, etc. booth at the Toledo show as he had something for me. I was thinking maybe a T-shirt or something, not even a thought about a complete RTR boat!
I've known Mike personally since around 2003 when he was selling kits and hardware out of his house. I was planning on getting one anyway but didn't expect a free one.
After a lot of running it sat in my basement for a while as I've got a lot of boats and not enough time to play with all of them so I sold it to 2 brothers cheap who were just getting into RC boats this past year. My basement is better stocked with boats than all 3 hobby shops in town.

LUCKEY! haha, i wish i new someone like that!!haha are all your boats nitro?. I sucks, i live in new jersey and thats quite a drive.

why not get an aquacraft nitro hammer great boat for the price very reliable and great fun

Are they still making that boat? I really haven't checked the AquaCraft site lately. A fun little beginners boat I guess but plagued with the crankshaft breaking up near the flywheel. Other that have tried to fix it up have run up against the problem of it having the straight shaft instead of a flex cable drive are limited to only a 35mm prop.
If you have a little time, wait a few months as some of the companies come out with new boats just in time for the spring thaw.

Just checked, it's no longer on their site.
