Sounds like you got one of the diffs in upside down.

Which ever one turns the right way is the one that is right. Flip the other one over and flip the collar on that diff. You will be good to go. I had the same prob once. Since then, i have noted which way they go.

Yeah, you definately have one of the diffs in backwards. As already mentioned leave the one that is turning the right way and flip the other one over.

been there done that, i now have a paintstick marked on the direction they go---lol

even funnier is I bought my Maxx's used and the one I popped the tranny-rebuilt it, put a forward only in when I rebuilt it and all four were spinning backwards---lol here the guy I got it from had put them both in backwards and I raced it for a year in reverse---lmao when I figured it out---but man o man was i confused when I fired it up--first I though it might be running backwards?? shut it off and started it up bunch more times and the same--then I thought I had screwed up being my first time rebuildind a tranny-- took me a damn week to figure it out--lol

I did the Exact same thing....man I was freaking out...thought I ruined it....

thats too funny, I would have drove it like that for a while, I used to drive a fork lift all day, so the rear steering might work out for me If I didn't read this post, I can promise you that I would have put one in upside down too.

Yeah, but it also wheelies better for some reason... The thing is uncontrollable at high speeds... not reccomended...

one day I decided to completely disassemble my maxx (8 ziplock bags, bad idea) I put it all back together and both spun backwards when I started it up the next bashing day
WTF! funny event! took me an hour to fix it.
