Figured I’d post up my 4909 T-maxx in all of its almost 2 decade old glory for everyone to see. I actually snagged this guy for free earlier this summer and expected it to need a lot of work given its age and how rough it looked. Much to my surprise, it almost looked like it just came out of the box in 2006 once I cleaned it. It’s fun to drive too… short wheelbase 3.3 with reverse from the factory. Only thing I did was put a new body on it, new wheels/tires, converted to a pull start and a steering servo. Everything else is all original. Nothing special, but it’s definitely one of the more unique and short lived variation of T-maxx traxxas sold and it’s in incredible shape for being 18 years old. Feels weird calling this vintage… but oh how the time flies.

Nice looking rig. I have a Tmaxx my sister gave me that she found in a eviction that was left.
I completely stripped it and cleaned everything but only fired it up once or twice.
I'm robbed a few parts out of it though because I'm not a nitro guy.

Nice score!

Ex wife nabbed this guy at an auction for $140 I think it was. It has just a couple small scuffs on the front of the hood, but otherwise, it looks new. I was so scared my kid was gonna roll it. But he did good. Still need to convert it to brushless and nab a different bashing body and wheels/tires for it. As slow as it is brushed on only 2s, it's a blast to drive.
