Man I love vintage rc cars. Nice buggys you have there. I finished restoring my dad's 1961 tether car last year.
I still haven't figured out how to get it running right but I guess that's one of the challenges of owning these old grunts.

New to the group just found this post hope everyone is well just getting back to the tether car line car hobby.

I have a couple of the cox engines ,their yours if you want them!
I think their still good!
If you still have them let me know can I get them if you want to get rid of them I have about probably 12 to 15 of them

Okay no problem buddy I didn't even know pay attention to the date have fun and sorry
Picked up a Cox .049 Dune Buggy on eBay a couple weeks back. Finally had a chance today to try to fire it up. Glow plug was bad, replaced it, but apparently the former owner let it sit for a long time with fuel in it. Tank was completely plugged up. Took it all apart and cleaned it up. Put it all back together and it started but wouldn't run. Was spitting out fuel from air intake. Ordered new reed and gasket set. Can't wait to get it running!
I'm going to show you something that I did a couple of them they came with a bad glow plugs and I removed the glow plug itself and I made I drill out the hole and I made it so you can use a regular glow plug instead of spending all that money for the attachment
