Hi,

After a disaster with a pull start 21VG not fitting into my newly built M1B turbo I'm revisiting engine choices - in particular the O.S. VG30 it seems to be primarily designed for truggies / monter trucks but would there be any draw backs to dropping this lump into my buggy?? Cheap engine for the power you see....

as far as dropping right in, i dont know, but I'm if it did fit, it would be awesome with the right gearing, ofna has a buggy with a .28 in it, so I'm sure a .30vg would work well, i would to see a vid if you decide on that engine, bet it would rip!

Yeah - I think it would be pretty quick - dunno about competition legalities though - or whether the gearing on the M1B would be right...

Well the VG30 is ordered - lets see what happens.........

The Ofna LX 0ne now comes with the Force .32. I have one and it goes hard, once I put a 16 tooth clutchbell on it. It came standard 14 but topped out REAL quick. Now I might look for a 15 and see if it covers the best of both worlds.
Definately not race legal though..

Well I did'nt try it in the end - sold the VG30 on and went down the Novarossi route...
