I have had time to do some runs with the Venom Speed Meter, and I have to say wow, its very cool, Although I dont thing the settings are all correct though. As I was using a local brand of nitro 20% and was hitting speeds of 58mph. My current gear ratio is 22/26pinion 54/50spur. Now to me that speed sounds to be about normal, but I had to get somemore fuel but got Monster brew (purple 20%), changed nothing but the shift points not by much though. After about halfway into the second tank of fuel, the engine was just screamming after a few passes I saw that the speed went to 84mph. I'm thinking the settings are alittle off or maybe not? I'm using a Dynamite .12spd with a switched out carb. I'm using the stock carb from my AE .12 and milled out the thottlebody, alittle more air flow. Anyway if anyone here has any thoughts or tips please let me know.

84 mph wow that seems a little tall but anyhting could be possible.

What's the HP rating on the engine and how much room did you need to hit that speed?

Cuz I know on mine, i'm only good for a little over 60mph.

Thats the thing I think its .5hp I havent found much about it on the web which it weird because it kicks my AE .12 (.92hp) in the a@#. But I dont see how they can say its a racing engine at .5hp, but I run it about 100yrds till the motor just wont go and higher. But I did swap out the carb to one with a bigger bore.

Well I changed the settings and it seems to be correct, I'm running at 53mph. Reading about tricks to do with nitro engines, I did some major work last night to the motor, I ported the exaust and manifold (Stock AE.). WOW it worked after I was done, and let me tell you I ran it at 64mph, but heat is my issue now. I think I may have it way to lean, because after about a tank and my running it at 64mph for a few passes, the engine it self started smoking alittle so I shut it down. The engine is still running condition so thats a plus. I hope I can get this thing movin.
