RadioControlZone just upgraded to vBulletin Version 3.0.0 and while I do like the look, it seems to have slowed the site down by a TON! I hope this won't be a problem when WoodiE decided to make the switch. :ponder:

I'm getting a lot of "done" pages the page loads, but no content.
I hit refresh and poof the page appears.
(that's on this site)

Ever since the switch, The first post I try and load will hang for about 15 seconds, thats all I have noticed, any one else get this?

I get the 15 sec hang everyonce in a while and also the "done" page with nothing showing. I just thought it was my stupid laptop, glad to know I'm not the only one.

i never have those problems. click and everything is loaded. its soo nice.

later

I think a lot of people are running into that problem - including me.

Same here....I thought it was my computer.
Just hit the refresh and HELLO there she is.

Ya know Mcvick I just went and cruised the Radiocontorl zone forum and dude it seems a hell of a lot faster now than before they upgraded. Honestly If you clicked on the buy sell forum for example it would take a good 30 seconds for it to load sometimes. Honestly I think the site is now faster.

Hmmm...... Let me try nuking my cache and anything else related to temp files. It was horrible for me yesterday.

That's odd, I've never had the "refresh" problem once. Anyways I've just optimized the database - there where a few places that needed to be updated and now are, lets hope that helps.

As far as vB3 - I'm very excited about upgrading to vB3. It's been claimed to speed UP the forum. mcvickj you're the first one I've heard saying it is slower. None the less it's because of this and a few other reasons why we're not using vB3 right now. I want to wait a lil longer to make sure that the "gold" version of vB3 is indeed a stable version and I don't want RCNT to be the one to find out if it's stable or not.

I will say this though, there are going to be a LOT of changes around here once we start upgrading - hopefully for the better!
