I would say that the knot was not big enough and away it went. I've done it before.

but the bloody thing was only replaced about 2 weeks ago cos the recoil inside broke on the last one............ URGHHHHHHHHHHHHhh

I've had them get loose a bit and when running, the handle just flops around because it isn't pulled snug up to the housing. As it flops around, the cord gets frayed and breaks.

Yes my friend I have had the same thing happen. I finally got fed up with it and went roto start. Open it up and hope for the best.

i opened it up n it looks like it has just worn n snapped... but its only 2 weeks old n has hardly been used........ bloody thing.......... this will b my 3rd one since i got the buggy only about 2 months ago.....URGHHHHHHHHHHHH........

this may sound like a dumb question but how does the roto start work?????????

It is gear driven going to the one way bearing. The ONLY drawback to it is now you have to have a drill or a roto start motor and a stick pack. To me they are the only way to go. I know a lot of people call names and poke me in the eye for not liking pullstart but hey..... Sticks and stones may break my bones but whips and chains excite me......um...ooops sorry probable too much information there....but story made short hit up Tower hobbies and look at one. I personally use them exclusively. But that's just me

Yup it happens:)Just one small point if you have tiny fingers a broken recoil spring can be repaired, thus saving money.
4 times is the max i got a mate with his girly fingers to repair one for me:D:D

what happend to me is when i put the body on i pulled the cord across the pipe and it burned in half so dont get to bumed

The roto start is eletric, I had to replace the back plate (where the pull start goes) with the roto start back plate. I got a dog bone (the thing that enguages the starter) and a starter gun, total package about 40 bucks. The starter gun was total crap and lacked the tourque to turn the motor (SH28) so I chucked the dog bone in my cordless drill and that works fine. So I spent 40 bucks for a back plate and a drill fitting. I had read here on the forum that the little starter motors were junk and it was sooo true.

the losi raminators break very easy, they have the duel pull/spin start on them

after one tank the pull start broke :( plastic internals, fortunate enough I took out all the parts needed for pull start and bought a hex bit and used a drill, and it works perfect
