Hey guys... i have one truck already and looking to purchase another i found a savage X ss with these specs what would you price this around so i know if its a good deal or not

HPI Racing Savage X SS 4.6 RTR

This Savage has a 4.6 big block engine with pullstart!

This truck is in near perfect condition hardly even a scratch on the skid plates.

Body and wheelie bar were taken from a different truck so they are a little beat up but still in very usable condition.

Truck has an upgraded air Tronics throttle servo and a Futaba steering servo.
Truck will come with a stock HPI TF – 3 digital proportional to channel radio and receiver.

The SS kit has upgraded clutch bell and spur gear, Heavy-duty dog bones and drive cups, hpi tuned exhaust and adjustable upper a arms.

This engine has not even been fully broken in yet and will need to be run slowly for the next two gas tanks full!!

if its in really good shape and its truley not yet even brokwn in yet its a good price but I would wanna put my eyes on it forst and be sure all electronics are in working order and also be able to check motor compression

It's an ok deal, but I'd take a close look at it to make sure it's the X before I'd buy it.

Look for X diffs, bulkheads and trans case. Don't want to spend $300 on a cleaned up savage 21. Diff spider gear cups should be alloy, diff cases should open from the front to swap out a diff without tearing the truck apart and the trans case should split so the top comes off.

I had someone try to sell me a primo savage XL... was really a very clean savage 21 with XL side plates and center rear axle.

yea, that happens alot where someone claims it a savage X and all it is is a .21 or .25 with X plates. or its a .21 or .25 and they claim it an X. if the diff housing is all one piece and not the carrier/bulkhead setup, chances are its an X.
if possible, i would ask to inspect the truck to make sure that its an actual savageX and not one of the earlier chassis. $300 is a fair price if its what they claim
