Really like the Picco. Was looking at the Dynamite .19 for it but have heard mixed reviews. I was also looking at the LRP engines as well.

The Dynamite engines are ok. I have some experience with the Dynamite .19, performance is about like the Taxxas 3.3, they are air leak prone but if you seal it good before break in there ok. The Picco's are a beats and a very good direct maxx or revo drop in. I have been running the Piccos for awhile now with no complaints in durability or performance. I just bought the Ofna maxx .28 will be installing it in a #4910 short chassis maxx soon. If your looking at the Lrp's man your going to need some upgraded trans gears like a set of RRP's no way that stock maxx trans will hold up trust me. I have a BB maxx running a Lrp.30x it's broke I sent it off to have some mods done and I actually exploded a set of RRP gears. When you start talking big power in a maxx you start getting into serious cash quick.

Thank You. Do not want to have to do another tranny rebuild, LOL. I am leaning towards the Picco. I do have an Ofna tank and some new electronics for it.

Please note that one of the to corners was trimmed off to make room for the header pipe that was on the truck when I got it.
man' oh man...I don't think that one would be useful for my application anymore...

Well I got it together today. Traded some stuff for an almost new 3.3. Runs, o. needs a lot of tuning work. The locked rear diff makes it kinda squirley in the turns and I went a little to soft with the suspension. Think I will give the aluminum shocks a shot, already have them and being they are integy they are not worth much to sell so why not run them till they are used up, should make it a couple tanks anyway, LOL. Shaun

OK?? Guess I am not sure why. I got it with a boat load of parts and put it in hoping to help the performance. I am assuming that this is not the case here. Or will it cause more issues later on? Shaun

essentially a spool eliminates the diff and makes the rear end, in lamens terms, a solid axle.

That means no matter what, both wheels will scrub in a corner because they both rotate at the same speed, adversely affecting how the truck handles.

When using thick/heavy fluids in a diff on an R/C vehicle, it essentially becomes a Limited Slip Diff (LSD), but remains a diff in that it can disperse power to either wheel by allowing each wheel to rotate either faster or slower in a corner/ when the vehicle is turning.

Centre diffs are a different matter.

I understand what it does just do not understand why I would want to remove the spool. I am sure there is a reason, just do not now it. Shaun

Well I went ahead and removed the spool. The off the line is slower and it pulls one way or another but the turns are better. After I got it apart I inspected the gears and found that after only a few tanks they were worn like it had been beat on for years. The front still looked new. Guess I got the reason for pulling it out now. Shaun
