mcvickj,
You have had good luck with the hitec?! I am new to r/c and to this board, I had a very unfortunate run in with a lamp post this morning and am going to replace the steering servo ( ripped the bottom out of it, the bulk head and sheared off some screws. I think I need new glasses, bad depth perception.

My 645MG did just fine in my T-Maxx. I am also running a 645MG in my buggy. I plan on purchasing another one for my Savage. ServoCity.com has the 645MG for $40 bucks with free shipping.

You should also look into the Proline steering kit. It has a built-in servo saver and combined with a high torque servo, really improves the steering. I would also get an alum steering servo guard. The steering servo is just kinda hanging below just begging to be tagged by an object.

The upgrading bug is easy to catch. Check out my thread below to see what all I have done with my Maxx. Still need to install the Sirio. Hope to get it in this weekend.
