now that i have all the parts, and they've all been dyed and installed, i decided to take some pics...heres one

this is all of the upgrading I'm gonna do for a while..my wallet is very mad at me :(

I had to delete your image, it was way too huge and did not comply with the specified size limit. Please repost the image no larger than 600x800. Thanks

I would like to see a pic of the engine brace that comes on the new revo. I want to get one, but they are not available to purchase yet.

I just got the Revo 3.3 and it is pimp. Speaking of upgrades, the revo 3.3 can get the center diff upgrade as well as an additional brakes for the rear to allow front and read brake bias.!! NICE. The brace I will look into.

here are the pics...sorry for the size before..

and a picture of the brace

hopefully these pics work

Thanks for the pic of the brace, I hope they go on sale soon. I don't necessarily need one, but the insurance of having one is worth the cost.

Unless I misread the article, you are able to add the center diff upgrade to the 2.5 versions as well.

So Jon, how was RCX? You boys were supposed to post some pic's! That damn Sweetdiesel!

Dude it was awesome. Lots of cool stuff. Lots of new Nitro Minis... Pics are coming. I am actually loading them now into Photobucket.. Patience grasshopper.!

MaxxSlinger or anyone, how do the stock puchrods compare up to the red aluminum puchrods? I was talking to a traxxas rep and he says the stock ones were given a "red spacer" to help out with suspension travel. They also have optional longer arms for both the front and rear. HAs anyone tried them out? \

My Revo, I want to add the new arms, the center diff and the double brake on the front and add the rear disc brake as well as the FOC. I have to say the 3.3 ( .20 ) is much lopnger than the stock 2.5 . Well thought out truck.

now I'm going to order the white rpms parts...and dye them. So I'm not like everyone else having blue :D nice job

BK, makes sure you order the dyeable ones, not just the white ones. I've dyed white parts and while it does work to a certain degree, the parts that are meant to be dyed take take the dye better and uniformly.

I wonder if RPM will be making a Longer arm to accomodate the Revo 3.3 chassis.

Look onthe website.. and scroll down.
REVO 3.3 optional parts

Jon those arms are not to accomodate the new chassis, they are to give any chassis a longer wheelbase.

Of course but I would want them from RPM. Worded wrong but still an upgrade I would get if RPM moves on it. Sure they will if they haven't already.

ok, ill try to answer what i can..

first off, most anything white is dyeable, in fact, even the rockers are dyeable(must be a color darker than the grey that they are)...if you notice in my pics, i dyed them purple with the wheels and the wing..

the wheels and wing were white and i had absolutely no problems dyeing them.

for the purple, i used two packets of the rit dye powder, boiled the water with the packets, took it off of the heat, and put in the items to be dyed...they only took about a half hour in teh dye to get a deep purple.

with the RPM parts, the only white ones they have are dyeable, and everything white, plastic or nylon will dye pretty good...
for instance, the wheels and wing are by proline, and they were not advertised as dyeable, but they dyed extremely well!

there is really no difference between the stock pushrods and the red ones, except for weight, and they look cooler...
also, when you get a revo 3.3, it comes stock with P2 rockers, which need a different length of pushrods...so those red spacers were on the pushrods from the factory. When i put the red pushrods on, i took the spacers from the factory rods and put them on the red ones. The factory rods are the same ones as used for the P1 and LT rockers, they just need the spacers to be used with the P2 rockers. The spacers can also be bought separately for people with a 2.5r revo, because they wouldnt have the spacers included like i did with the 3.3.

with the dyeing, all of the parts were dyed with RIT dye, from walmart, only 1.50 a box (powder kind)

oh, and the center diff and rear brake need the new tranny casing to work (the transmission that comes with the 3.3 has a rear output shaft for the brake)

let me know if you have any more questions...

ill have to upload some more pics of my truck, i put alot of cool new stuff on it recently..tekno throttle mount and gas tank/rx/battery box conversion..among other things!

talk to you later fellas!
