I know this is old thread but nobody answered. I am currently eying a set of these on amazon.

HobbyPark Aluminum Shocks Absorber Assembled (Front & Rear) Full Metal Dampers for Traxxas 1/18 LaTrax Teton Desert Prerunner, Replace Parts 7660 7665(4-Pack) (Red)

I have the 7665 but they are quite beat up now from several years of abuse.

Your link doesn’t work but I would get shocks from traxxas that are optional. They have to have better shocks for this car. I have had numerous sets of amazon aluminum shocks and they just don’t cut the mustard, for all the tuning and searching for springs n such, your money ahead buying something else. Trust me on this one.

Well, I didn't intend for it to be a link. I'm new here so I didn't think links would work. But that text should get it found.
I have the Traxxas 7665 shocks for mine but they are $70 which is exactly what OP stated and mine are quite worn. I mean they are around half the price of a new truck so I was on the same line of thinking as OP and looking for something in $30 price range and for OP who has the stock shock they would have to be an upgrade.
But, I don't have any experience with them either. 🤷‍♂️
