I stripped my stock savage 25 steering servo and replaced it with a hi-tech ultra high torque metal geared servo, I'm not really sure how to conect it to the steering linkage. can someone please tell me how, i still have the extra hornes that came with the savage in the box.

Ill recomend you to use the metalic horn that comes with the Hi-Tec servos due the plastic ones break easily, and if you don't have the ofna servo saver mod do it right now, I stripped the metalic gear twice before I did the mod.

Check out the first post in red on this forum It is one of the three mods mentioned and will show you how to set up your new servo and servo saver arm..

Just buy a Kimbrough servo saver,it comes with all adapters to fit differant servos and its only about 6$.

I wasted $6 on the kimbrough one... I thought it was way to weak for a MT. It just made the steering feel very spongey. I ended up with the MT mod. Now it's nice and tight but gives when it needs to.

Olds you must have got a dudd or something? I have the futaba S3305 well over 100oz with the Kimbrough and I can turn the wheels left or right sitting still on carpet, dirt, grass, asphalt any surface?Other members have had good experiances with it also!

Could be... since it's the only one I've ever bought, I don't know. All I have is a hitec 645mg on it and with it sitting on my work table (a towel on a rubber mat), the servo would move, the center of the saver would move, but the tires would just sit there... dunno? I'm also running a 6v 2000mah receiver pack. So I'm getting as good as I can out of my servo.
