upgraded my highroller and was wondering

I just put a sidewinder esc. on and a 5700kv castle motor on my losi highroller and I was wondering if anyone else has this setupp and what they run for gearing.. I am still struggling with the whole thing kind of I can get my ratio and stuff but am wondering on what way you want to go to get motor temp down and stil be fast.. if that makes sense. I guess in other words what pinion and spur should I run to get my temos down I had a 23 t pinion and not sure about the spur but I am going to be grabbing a lot of like 5 or 6 spurs online so I will have different sizes for it.. the motor was getting pretty hot because i dont have the biggest area to run this so I think I have more on top speed right now....

I also have a slash with the sv2 (sidewinder2) esc and a 5700kv 4pole motor and am running 23/90 and the temps are alittle high I think so was wondering what way to go with that one aswell... was thinking of trying 20t pinion would that be going in the right direction???

maybe I just can't think this morning for some reason and its just me that can't get it but any help would be cool thanks!!!!!

so does that mean no one knows or no one understands????? l.o.l.... I am just trying to set up my rigs so I dont burn out my motor quickly cause that would suck pretty bad!!!! any ideas on the gearing on either one would help out greatly so what gearing do you guys run out there bashing around???

The other thing is with the 3s 5000 lipos my slash gets pretty warm to where it cuts off so would the gearing help keap the temp down or should I judt use a big 2s to run it that????

not sure what gear ratio you need but changing the gearing will keep them from overheating, i have no idea which way to go though. I need to do the same on my summit vxl to keep it from over heating on the beach. also dropping to a 2s will help with the overheating issue as well

yeah I normaly run the 2s I rarley run the 3s but the speed is insane!!. I am getting a C.C. mamba max pro esc. so I can run the 3s without a problem. atleast thats what I was toldd by somebody. Hopefully its true though because I want alittle more insane where the kids are getting brushless systems for x-mass. I need to keep myself alittle faster l.o.l. I am always looking for the next step for speed and the newest system thats out for better controle etc.. etc... I put a 18t pinion on there and it seemed to keap it alittle cooler I think, or it could have been cooler than yesterday aswell. I need to cut out a whole or 2 for air flow to help keap the temps down alittle in the highroller....
