I am retiring my Futaba 3PKS and am going to start using it's big brother the 4PK.

Look what brown brought to me today.

I took advantage of the $10 for an additional R603FS Futaba promotion even though I don't need it. I will either hold on to it or probably just sell it.

The case is bad ass. Sturdy as hell and has plenty of cutouts. I can easily carry a few lipo packs in there.

It comes with a NimH pack, but I am dumping it for a LiFe pack.

I will get more pics once I drop the wheel and angle it using the adapters.

JERK! lol jk, congrats Rob! They are such a nice radio imo.

by looking at that radio. . .it looks like its pretty big. What is the size difference between that one and lets say a Traxxas TQ radio?

It is not big at all.

I don't have a TQ to compare, but I will take a comparison pic next to a 3PKS and a 3PM.

Next time I have $500 to spend, I think I'm gonna have to snag one up too.

I dropped 500 on my M-11, but on overcast days I get HBO and Showtime on it.
Now THAT'S a big radio, but at the time there was no other 4ch 2.4 wheel radio.

The M11 definitely wins in the big and bulky contest.

Here are some comparison shots.

I really like the feel of the 4PK. It is very well balanced and not top heavy like the 3PKS.

The 3PKS with Lipo pack installed is about 1lb 12.5ozs. The 4PK with the NimH pack installed is about 1lb 7.5ozs. I will probably add another 5ozs when I add the adapters and my grip tape.

4PK is a sexy radio for sure! Nice upgrade. So you're going to ship me the 3PKS now right? ;-) I'll even pay shipping. hehehe

Thats not as big as i thought it was. . .nice radio man. . .but me personally i couldn't afford a $500 radio, i'll stick to my spektrum till i actually get a job. On a seperate subject how many model memory does it have?

40 model memory.

:OMG: Thats alot of model memory, i could use that radio for the rest of my life and never have to buy another no matter how many R/C's i do decide to get.

Were not worthy

The 4PK is a heck of a nice radio and the electric blue display is just awesome, nice upgrade Rob!

I've been looking at upgrading my old Spektrum to a Futaba 3PM-X I can't just justify buying a new radio and then spending $90 x5 for each of my R/C's.

I have installed the drop-down adapter as well as the angled adapter.

Feels nice and comfortable now.

I also received my LiFe pack for it. Fits nice and snug.

Is it just the angle of the picture or does the wheel stick really far out away from the radio itself now with the changes?

What's your thoughts on that battery so far?

It does stick out about 1.5" from the stock position.

Battery is great so far. Lighter than the NiMh pack and easier to maintain. The best part is that if you don't use the transmitter for a couple of weeks the pack will not have lost any juice like the NiMh would.
