I have a savage xl, never seen snow,rain, water of any kind. I replaced the spur and bell gear, and installed them. with the motor slid as far over as it can go its still too tight. When I spin the spur gear it wobbles back and forth. Not really sure how or what happind to it. Its never sat longer then 2 days before I used it again.

Only certain gear ratios fit the savage. That also depends on the engine in it due to crank case/starter housing differences.

I am running 52/15 the chart says good all around gearing. Not sure.. what makes the spur gear all wobbly

Bad mold.
Bent input shaft.
Not put on properly.

Not sure what else. 52/15 should fit. Not sure what to tell you. Sounds like your engine may be hitting something.

I got it all back together today, i turn the wheels and the tranny, thats all together doesn't spin,when the wheels turn? what did i do wrong?

Not sure, can you explain it a bit more?

If you push the truck forward on the ground, what spins? If you push it backwards? If you spin the spur by hand clockwise and counter clockwise?

with the truck all together, i push it forward.. both driveshafts spin, the spur gear doesn't.

Does the spur spin if you push the truck backwards? That's when the OWB inside the trans engages and spins the spur with some authority. When you roll it forward, the spur should want to spin, but if your mesh is too tight, it won't.

with the motor out, i roll it across the floor, and nothing happins other then then drive shafts, and brake spinning. Did I put the bearing in backwards?

Definitely sounds like you left something out of the mix. Maybe a pin on one of the gears inside the trans.

hey thanks for the help. I found the missing pin in the gear set after i took the cover off, got it all meshed, ill try it out tomorrow
