After not seeing much difference in low rear battery placement with the other offerings I made my own. It puts at least half the batteries weight on the rear axle, off the suspension and lower than any other lcg tray. You just need some kydex and tie rod ends. It rest on the linkage leaving the suspension un hindered and please tell me if you ever saw a battery lower on the trx4. Battery in pics is a 2200mah 3s. No straps, just 3m grip lock.
I had the front fasten with linkage to a second piece which hung off the rear of the transmission using a tie rod end. I could not get it to not interfere with either the suspension or its travel. The rod end did not have enough travel. Finally I’m just letting the front rest on the steel frame rails keeping it just off the out put cvd. The battery moves up and down with the travel. Tomorrow if I get a chance I’ll add a video.
