I thought i was getting a great RTR but I think I got ripped. The Ultra MBX pro seems kinda crappy. After breaking it in I was finally gonna let the engine rev out. My brand spanking new Futaba Magnum controller decided to cut out for some reason so there goes my MBX at 25 mph heading for the curve(glad it wasn't faster!). It didnt seem to hit that hard but the chasis flexed so much it cracked the gas tank, bent the aluminum pillars holding up the servo tray, bent the tranny gear so bad it was stuck on the chasis, and put a nifty gash at the front of the buggy. I keep reading this is suppose to be a good basher, and yes,I know i shoulda had a fail safe on it from the get go. One other thing is the suspension rubs on the bottom of the shock tower which cuts off my steering. How do I make the chasis alot stiffer and what length 2x4 should I hit my local hobby dealer with for talking me out of the hyper7?? I think he wanted to get these little MBX puppies off his hands.

I'm not sure about how to fix your chassis problem. But i have a 2x12 in my shop if you want to use that. hehehe

As with any RC car, it has its limitations...I'm not sure what Ofna has for a stiffener, but the only problems I had with mine was 2 sets of steering servo gears (not a "car" fault), and a broken shock tower after a mean crash...check the magazines, and you'll find lots of aftermarket parts....good luck.
