First.
when i try to start my truck, the electric motor spins but won't turn the engine over except when i first press the button. it will turn over maybe 3 times but then its like something isn't engaging and the electric motor just spins. I have to keep letting on and off of the button to get consecutive engine revolutions. any ideas? oh and it spins fine when a glow plug is not installed. which leads me to my next problem
my glow plug light is off on my starter pack. i take out the plug and its only a few runs old and it still looks fine. but i have a spare so I put it in and it still says the glow plug is bad. any ideas?

thanks in advance.

In answer to your first problem. Sounds like fuel has gotten into the owb(one way bearing). you will have to take the engine out, take off the ez-start, clean up the fuel and the owb, re-oil it, and put it all back together.
The glow plug could be the ground wire(yellow), or the blue wire not making a good contact with the plug.

I have this problem with my old 1.5 pro maxx, simple solution is to carefully drill a small hole in the side of the plastic case which houses the one way bearing and gear. Be careful not to drill the gear thought!!

Now when ever the bearing slips, spray a good dose of wd40 with the little red plastic tube you get with it in to the hole, this cleans the bearing and it grips the shaft again, it also saves taking the motor out. I've also found the anti freeze you spray on the car window works well and is a lot cheaper

good luck

Sounds like a great solution to the owb problem. I'm going to look around for some kind of a plug for the hole so dirt can't get into it (then I know what size to drill).
thanks!

i had the same problem with the glow plug to so my quick fix was i have a glow plug starter so just got rid of the wire to the plug and stick that on when starting it uses less power and seems to make it start much faster i still use the ez starter to turn over the motor but thats it.
Hope this helps

yea the one way is slipping. also, get rid of that plug wire and get you a glow ignitor. it will save you alot of headache in the long run.

I'm having the same problem i thought it was the starter bendix a glow plug ignitor will fix it?

you will have to take the engine out, take off the ez-start, clean up the fuel and the owb, re-oil it.

ya, do the same, but i never oiled it. i think if you oil it it will slip sooner. i just spray it with gumout and put it back in. but after 3-4 OWB cleanouts i do a complete disasembly of the starter and clean the old grease out and re-grease the gears, you can either go light-weight and use mineral oil, or go heavy duty and use 1:1 car bearing grease.
oh, and get rid of that blue wire, you get more starting power and the starter battery lasts alot longer.

thanks guys!
i got a glow plug starter and got rid of the blue wire.
the OWB just worked it self out.
starts like a champ!

This is the mod for the owb it really does work

see the hole drilled in the r that allows wd40 gumout or whatever when your owb slips this doesn't cure the problem just lets you keep running till you do a tear down and clean the bearing
