Wooohooo, the body is finished finally. Had a blast with it today at the Midwest All Truck Nationals today. People certianly got a kick out of it, so did I for that matter! The body is already broken in... I hit the brakes too hard once and flipped it in the parking lot of the show and scuffed the top a bit, but thats what the thing was made for... USING IT!

Cool!I am thinking of buying a Jeep Rubicon or maybe an old Chevy/Ford body(whatever one looks better and is avalible).I am also thinking of a Ford Bronco or H1 body(if they have either).Btw BOTH the trucks look cool. :)

looks nice. you could have run a silver strip to outline the white like on the real truck. it still look good.

Wish I could get a newer S-10 body for my touring car and do that when I show.

Sweet, I especially like the 1/1 truck. I've been wantin to get one like that when I can drive.....legally at least...

To bad they don't make a marquee body... Imagine that for a moment, a Maxx and a Savage with a marquee body on it... This ain't your grandfathers mercury! (I know, I know, I stole it from oldsmobile, but I have an olds as well)

I think it's really cool when guys do that. It's neat to see a 1:1 and a 1/10 or 1/8 side by side with the same body and paint scheme.

Good job!

Thanks :) Both are a blast to drive... both seem to cost as much in fuel too lol

Fridge, yea it has the upper and lower chrome trim pieces painted on it, its somewhat hard to see in that photo though.

hey piston.. at least your wife didnt reck it..... you were suposed to keep that one nice and use a ford body to bash...........

Tyler (my son) and I ran up to a RC event " Monster Mash 2004" which consisted of: Drag races, Obstacle Course and a Long Jump competition. I took the '72 truck body and WON!!!!!! woohooo :) :). I placed 3rd overall in the stock class and 1st in the Concourse (presentation/body) event.

This was the first time I have ever been to an RC event, not to mention actually competing in it! Beginners luck I guess ;)

Nice job and congratulations, Piston!

The second picture reminded me of that scene in Ocean's Eleven where the two good 'ol boys were stagin' a race between the nitro vehicle and the 1:1.
