Bought a convention kit from rc4me and converted my Savage XL to fit and run a 2-stroke gas engine. Now I don’t have the nitro engine problems. Right now, there is a 29cc gas engine. This kit was designed for the Savage Octane. However, I was able to use most of the parts from my Savage XL I did have to purchase some parts for the Savage Octane.

Well done 👏

What about the body ? will it fit the bigger components beneath it ?

How is this lil contraption going? How protected is the engine?

Hey Chubaka this is what I came up with to protect the engine.
However, Now i am having trouble with keeping the wheel tight and are stripping out the wheel hubs.

Would love to see a running video of this!!

They do make the 23mm adapter I think to run hpi baja wheels. Hpi discontinued there's but flm, fastlanemachine, makes them. Rovan has options for their knockoff baja 5b.

I'm toying with a twin savage. The old truckzilla dual engine. My xl should be here soon and the build starts. 😁 wanted a savvy for 15 years and now the time has come.

Cage looks good. Hopefully the filter doesn't get decapitated.
