Bought a convention kit from rc4me and converted my Savage XL to fit and run a 2-stroke gas engine. Now I don’t have the nitro engine problems. Right now, there is a 29cc gas engine. This kit was designed for the Savage Octane. However, I was able to use most of the parts from my Savage XL I did have to purchase some parts for the Savage Octane.

Well done 👏

What about the body ? will it fit the bigger components beneath it ?

They do make the 23mm adapter I think to run hpi baja wheels. Hpi discontinued there's but flm, fastlanemachine, makes them. Rovan has options for their knockoff baja 5b.

I'm toying with a twin savage. The old truckzilla dual engine. My xl should be here soon and the build starts. 😁 wanted a savvy for 15 years and now the time has come.

Cage looks good. Hopefully the filter doesn't get decapitated.

Looks so nice. Can you please send me the list of parts needed other than the kit from rc4me? Also, does the stock drivetrain handle the 29cc?

This thread is a few years old. You might not get answers here.

You can post a new thread to ask if anyone has info or parts lists for this conversion.

It looks like a fun truck. Good luck with your build!!! 👍😎😁
