Yeah, I helped a buddy of mine fight this issue buy upgrading his too. He got the other two lunsford turnbuckles from me. :)

He was running LST2 tires on his at the time and one would pop off almost every landing. Ever since installing the LST ball ends, has had very few issues like that.

Well the washers worked great! I had an awesome bash last nite! I even managed to pull off a front flip! It was by complete accident of course but the washers did their job! Hey olds what kind of L brackets are those? So what if it's kinda hack. They work right? Sometimes it's the cheapest and simlplest solutions that turn out to be the best ones. These were just some 5mm washers I found at my local True Value. I put them between the screw and the pivot ball and viola! Problem solved they even held up through some gnarly landings.http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1980181302728&subj=1189033643

Well if I had a camera I would be happy to post a pic. It's real simple just put the screw through the washer first then throught the pivot ball on the turnbuckle end and screw it back in place. Make sure there isn't any binding in the steering and you're all set. I put one on each end of both rods. Basically all it does is increase the area around the screw head so the rod end can't slip off.

Here is the bash session i was talking about. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5zBebuLfPe4"]‪Sunday night bash session Savage XL with Ofna Force .32‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]

GRRR!!! This sucks! Now the rear ones have stretched out so bad that the truck won't track straight! Bad bad dogtracking and serious tail wagging under braking. This is really starting to piss me off! Plus one of the front ones snapped in half. Olds what did you make your rear lockers out of?

Some flat steel I had laying around. I cut a rectangular strip, bent it to a 90, ballparked the holes with a strip of paper bent at a 90 resting in the spot it goes, used the paper to mark the holes and drill them. Then I rounded the corners off with a dremel.

I used steel because I thought aluminum that thin would bend to easy.

I did the exact same thing as Olds did. I had some steel brackets already so I just re-drilled and trimmed as needed. Works great so far. I think they have been on there a couple years now. I had to do mine that way to do the LST shock mod but it also has the benefits of one less thing to break or come loose.

Trust me, the Integy ones are no good, got them on my savage and in less that fime mins they came apart. I had to use oversize washers to hold them together and now one of them has broken completly in two. i rekon i should have just bought the stockers again.
