Stock engine. Sorry gotta lay off the :trashed:

You will first need to brake the engine in.
My best advise is to follow the direction that came with it.
Read them then read them again. When you get ready to brake it in read them again.

If you haven't guessed yet, read the directions.:D

Losi did a great job and everything you need to know for the first 10 tanks is in the book.

The more time you give the engine time to brake in the better and longer it will run. Refrain from showboating and giving it full throttle until at-least the 5-6th tank. For no reason whatsoever run the throttle wide open for more than 1-2 seconds.

During brake in check the rear diff adjustment after every tank. The adjustment info is in the book.

Make sure you have all fresh and charged batteries in the truck and radio.

Before you fire it up you may want to go over the truck and make sure all the screws are tight and everything is adjusted properly.

Have 1-2 extra glow plugs on hand just in case. You should also make sure your glow stick has a fresh battery.

Be easy on your pull start, its not a chainsaw. Only pull it 3/4ths the way. If you learn this now it will save you time money and aggravation.

Tip:
Wear a glove on your pull start hand. Blisters are hell.

follow eddy's advise, and you will get started well. I would add: make sure the needles are set to factory settings before you start. They should be, but you never know. Once you know that those are set, follow the manufacturers break in procedure to the letter. There are a lot of myths and folk ways people have when breaking in a new engine, but I prefer to follow the instructions exactly. Good luck, have fun and blisters may be hell, but they are sort of a right of passage.
