i just wondering if anyone can help me with settung the idle speed screw and the mixture screw thing

force 12 running it in
but how do u use the guage thing:flamer:

I've been told that to adjust the idle-mixture you should warm up the engine to a normal temperature, and then SLOWLY turn the screw in until you hear the RPM goes up, then take it 1/4 round out again.

eww thats not a good way to do it, spend 25 bucks on a temp gun at radio shack. go to the newbie faq that nitroaddict wrote and scroll down to the how should i tune my engine. I followed those instructions and my car broke 45 yesterday at the track.

A tempgun won't help you adjust the idle-mixture or idle-rpm. If your talking about adjusting the top-end mixture then a tempgun is the fastest and safest way to do it safely.

Adjusting the IDLE SPEED. Just in case we're talking about different things, the idle speed adjustment screw is located on the top/side of your carb on the same side as your high speed needle.
As a general rule, you want to have your card open up about 1mm-1.5mm. So put it there, and then make adjustments. I like to have my engine rev kinda high, as high as it will go without the clutch engaging. By doing this it's harder for the engine to cut off.

Right, the idle-speed was what I mean by writing idle-rpm :) My english is average, but I don't always know technical names :-)

With idle-mix I meant the screw thats on the other side (front-side of the carb) into the barrel.

Sorry espeng, I didn't mean to make you think that I was correcting your English. I was actually talking about RiceLaxer saying to get a temp gun to adjust the idle.
