I'm rather new to the Nitro world....and just bought a T-Maxx 3.3. I run 20% fuel and have been told to run it rich to reduce the heat of the engine. My question is which "screw" do I adjust to increase/decrease fuel intake?? Do I turn it clockwise to reduce fuel intake, and ccw to increase fuel intake?? If you could include any snapshots and verify the location, I would appreciate it. I know of 2 places to adjust/tune the engine...one @ the top of the carb, which it is my understanding adjusts the amount of air intake.....and the other tucked in below that one (a smaller screw) and I believe that this is the one that I adjust to tune the fuel intake.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ps. as of now, when the truck is supposed to be "idle" it has a tendency to move forward or reverse, depending on the transmission.....what do i have to adjust to make the truck stay stationary??

the bigger screw(needle) is your high speed needle(hsn),the one on top.
the low speed needle (lsn) is the screw on the slide carb, where the servo pulls the carb out, the real small screw under the hsn is your idle screw. i dont have any pics available, search this site and there are plenty of pics off carbs hopefully this helps, by the way factory settings are 4 turns out on the hsn, and flush with the inner collar for the lsn. adjusting your idle should stop the creeping forward when sitting.

I agree with woof! the traxxas website is a good place to look for tuning problems. Log onto it and read it carefully. Read it 2 or 3 times if you have to.
