I have went out and got all the dust off my 2 t-maxx to start playing with them again. One is a 2.5 maxx with the 2.5 motor still on it. I got it up and running in no time @ all. left the lsn alone and put the hsn all the way shut then went to about 3 full turns backing it up after a few laps around my development. My problem is that i can't get the sirio to run, or start. what is a good way to start from sctatch putting them closed, so i can get it to fire up and adjust it to ide and rin properly. Its an older maxx that had the .15 first gen maxx motor on it. I boutght the sirrio and have had no issues b4 getting it tuned, however it has sat for a while. New glow plug. ignighter fires up on the 2.5 right away from the same gas i have even tried another one but

Pleas help of anyone knows a good place to start tuning this motor bc if i can get it going and running reliably i might just put it on my 2.5. Compression is still verry strong on the .18 i have trief but maybe i overlooked something

over the weekend i decided to tear it down and have a look @ the internals. Man was the piston and piston sleve all gunked up. So i cleand everything up and ran the motor without the head on it (turning the crank) and put some wd-40 on it to re lube it up. Put the head back on and a fresh glow plug, set the HSN to 5 turns out and left the lsn where it was it sputtered to life but will not run. i can't get it to start and stay running.

Any other suggestions. Sirio Xt .18 motor

It sounds like it's either a carb adjustment, or the needles and seats need the same cleaning the engine got. You'll also want to replace the fuel lines.

I have all new fuel lines on it both return pressure line and the main fuel one.

I also did a thorough cleaning of the carb but I did not tear it apart.

Compression wise the motor is still really tight.

Do you know where the factory settings are so I have a ballpark figure on where to start tuning the 3 needles for the sirio tx .18 ?

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

It's just depressing when I can get the 2.5 traxxas motor going and they say that its a hard motor to tune. I even still have the stock head on it.
