Hi All
I have just purchased a Thunder Tiger EB4 S3.....I thought it seemed a good idea at the time....I got it home and started the run in process only to find that all the needles had been screwed in to the max. I read the instructions and set the carby at the correct settings ???? I can't get it to idle at anything less than a scream. It does not matter what I do. Can anyone please send me settings that they have used. I will be in your debt..
Cheers
Ray

I am probably wrong since its been awhile since I've messed with Nitro but i think i usually set my high end for about 2- 2 1/2 open (I know this probably way rich) and the low/mid about 1-1 1/2 turns open for a starting point and usually messed with the high end more than low end till i got the fuel/air mixture good then went back to the low end. I sure i will be corrected but this is a pure guess I have none of my notes or tuning Mags. anymore been uotta the loop for 3 or so years

This sounds like a linkage problem, as opposed to needle settings. No needle settings should let the engine go wide open unless the carb is open. Turn the tx and rx on, but leave the engine OFF. Pop the air filter off, and make sure there's about a 1mm gap at idle(finger off of the trigger). Make sure it opens all of the way when you squeeze the trigger, and stays at the 1mm gap when you apply the breaks. Check this out and get back to us. We'll get ya goin'.:)

Thanks for the info. I took all the needles out and found a small slither of metal in the guts of the carby. Clean out and reset with the factory settings so thanks Newb86:). Also noticed that the fuel cover( black sheild on the fuel tanks) was catching the linkages Thanks Matt:)

All good now
Cheers for the help:first_place:
