Trying to save my engine

I have a 2.5, i have lost a lot of compression. Will buying a new piston and sleeve fix my problems? My problem is a piston and sleeve is about $50, but a brand new engine, upgraded to the 2.5r is $80. What to do?

Well I would say get the new engine. You get new bearings, new con rod, new sleeve and piston. new everything. for 30 bucks more. I don't know where you could get a new engine for 80 bucks but I would say go for it.

You can get your sleeve pinched. I believe it's about $25 to get one pinched.

I agree. Buy the new engine and send your old piston/sleeve to www.rayaracing.com for a pinch ($25) as a good spare. Or a winter engine.
