not sure what I need for the chassis to bolt to in the front I know my T-max has a bulk head but the diff is in the center of the T-maxx bulk head.any Idea what S-maxx use's or can I just use a T-maxx bulk head.I've taken the diff out before and ran like that did not seam to hurt anything but it was for a short while. pic would help
 
I recently converted a S-Maxx to a T-Maxx, so by going in reverse, yes, you can just take out the diff case and unhook the driveshaft at the trans end. The bulkheads are the same. No need to get S-Maxx bulkheads. At the axle ends, you just run the stubs after taking off the axle driveshafts.

Remember to leave the stub on the tranny side so the brake hex has something to ride on... :hammer:
