Trying to breath life into a Duratrax Quake

First of all. Hello to everyone! I Want to breath life into a Duratrax I have. Quake big block. Has a Torq 28. Has a 2 servo setup with the throttle and for/rev sharing same servo. Motor has no pull start so seems it had a starter setup at one time. I would like to have some suggestions on motor replacement. Servo and receiver / transmitter suggestions. Thanks for all and any help!

The engine looks like a SH 28 with a Traxxas engine mount. The original Nitro Quake does not do reverse, it does throttle and brakes with one servo. The Nitro Thunder Quake does reverse on a third servo. For engine choice, you can get a pull start SH engine.

Thanks. This engine seems to have a ton of compression. I’m wondering if it’s still good. I appreciate the info on mine!

You can try a starter box. If it has ton of compression, then, there should have no major issue to start. Just maybe some cleaning and adjustment.

I can help with any questions, info, parts, anything related to a quake.
After a closer look, that has wrong/not original motor mounts and I'd bet your chassis has been modded for with new holes or elongated holes.

I can make a drop in ready to fire once installed and linkages set with all correct fitment parts, unless you are in the market for a higher end performance engine, or just want to get it running and lower cost.

I specialize and personally have an obsession with these trucks going on 20+ years btw

After a closer look, that has wrong/not original motor mounts and I'd bet your chassis has been modded for with new holes or elongated holes.

Hey i have a original(as far as i know) 2000's Duratrax thunder quake with the nitro engine and the 2 speed transmission/servo? i got it off a buddy who hadn't ran it in 10+ years. i have it idling but when i put it in forward it seems like the engine wants to run away and then throttle and throttle trim doesn't change rpm at all even tho i see the servo moving

I've looked through the manual and can't seem to find anything on it

Do you have any parts, I'm trying to find a drive washer & flywheel
