Solid option! The low end control on the fusion is buttery smooth and solidI just got this system for my Redcat GEN8V2. Works awesome, and at $160 on Amazon, fairly cheap for a brushless system. Also, this is designed specifically for crawlers.

Oh it's RC girl. She had a awesome video from the crawler event she went to some ni e rigs in it.. and a awesome crawler spot.....I just got this system for my Redcat GEN8V2. Works awesome, and at $160 on Amazon, fairly cheap for a brushless system. Also, this is designed specifically for crawlers.

Yeah I traxxas has to put some more R&D into their electronics. IMO. So I don't even think I will build my TRX-4 with the stock esc. I'm think the castle sidewinder. The HW has a better drag brake though. Nice stall and reverse budHonestly, I'm not really sure why you want to upgrade from the Defender's stock system already. While my stock esc crapped out, the motor I feel works just fine.

Initially, I thought RC Girl is just a YTer trying to sell a channel through sex appeal, but she's actually legit as an RCer.Oh it's RC girl. She had a awesome video from the crawler event she went to some ni e rigs in it.. and a awesome crawler spot.....

What tires are those the tread is sweet and looks very grippygrippy
Those are Proline Hyrax with the dual foams. They work very well, but I don't feel they are worth it, for the money, since the much, much cheaper Traxxas Canyon Trails performs just as well. What tires are those the tread is sweet and looks very grippygrippy
I thought the same thing when I saw RC GIRL. Thought she was maybe a wife of a RCer trying to get veiws.. But nope she is legit.. she has some good videos. And puts in the time to do stuff rite. Let me tell you, that Fusion has crazy drag brakes!
I personally won't upgrade to brushless unless I want more torque and speed out of it, or want something more power-dense (e.g. I have a car with limited space, but also don't want to compromise power output).hi folks..got the TRX4 Defemder..just wondering what Brushless motor uprages would be good. are the motors pretty changeable and what sort of spec do i need..for Brushless..
I thought the same thing when I first saw one of her vids. She's a pretty lady, that's for sure. But I have watched her for awhile now, and she is pretty cool too. I'd definitely hang out with herInitially, I thought RC Girl is just a YTer trying to sell a channel through sex appeal, but she's actually legit as an RCer.

Well, the only reason I want to upgrade mine is because I’m really hard on it, which caused it to die recently, so I’m wondering what might have a little more durability for a guy who is not easy on his machines. Also might just be that I use it more for trail use rather than rock crawling, I find I end up sending it more than I should. Maybe I should just sell my rig and get a slash? Don’t know.Honestly, I'm not really sure why you want to upgrade from the Defender's stock system already. While my stock esc crapped out, the motor I feel works just fine.

Those and Tekin are pretty popular. I have a Copperhead 2280 and love it. Holmes and Tekin are on my list.Anything based on a 540 can should fit. For a heavy rig like that I would recommend at least a castle copper head esc ($120). I'm also kind of brand loyal to holmes hobbies for motors- and I love the torque of their outrunners
Hate to say this but it's the traxxas electronics not you... their electronics suck.. I'm about to start my trx4 build. And I will probably throw a copperhead or the SW4 in it. Just because I don't trust or like traxxas electronics. And I have alot of traxxas kits. Starting back in the 90s. And they have always been the same electronics suck hahaha. You could always upgrade and also pick up the slash. It's a good SC truck..Well, the only reason I want to upgrade mine is because I’m really hard on it, which caused it to die recently, so I’m wondering what might have a little more durability for a guy who is not easy on his machines. I got the 1080 sitting here. I'm torn through. Between the two castle or 1080.the 1060 is for the hopper buildHomes Hobbies / Hobbywing 1080 all day long.
The Fusion would not be a good choice if you want more speed.Well, the only reason I want to upgrade mine is because I’m really hard on it, which caused it to die recently, so I’m wondering what might have a little more durability for a guy who is not easy on his machines. Huh, that’s interesting. Because as far as I can see it’s the motor, because the steering still works and the electronics are lit up(however I don’t know how to test of it is actually broken), and after I took the motor off and turned it by hand it made grinding noises and other weird noises, so I’m fairly certain it was the motor. There was also a big mud buildup in the motor so I thought I could take it apart and clean it out, but I couldn’t figured out how to take any the main inner casing off of it. But how exactly are the electronics bad? Like, what about them stops working or doesn’t work well? I’d like to see what is actually wrong with it to see if it is actually the electronics. In any case though, I need a new motor, because I tore the original apart to try and see if I could clean it and that was a very dumb idea. It’s in lots of pieces now.Hate to say this but it's the traxxas electronics not you... their electronics suck.. I'm about to start my trx4 build.
