ok i got this engine from a friend and it needs a new piston/sleevre and i checked it out the crankshaft is way to short to use it in my truck is it possible to make it longer ?

dont bother, the trx.15 blows and isnt worth the 40$ for a p/s.

but yea you could probablly get a lnoger shaft

i had one...foir about 4 days before i broke it. snapped the connecting rod. had the piston on my keychain for a few months. stupid traxxas. now I've got 2 thunder tiger .15's (what the rc10gt comes stock with) and i love em. lots of power for the pric, tune VERY well, especially for beginners, and once you get em tuned, they hold it forever.

Tell yall what, I've had 2 of those engines and maybe I just got lucky but both of them were awesome. I ran the piss out of them (and believe it or not, I still am). One of them I parted out to make keychains, and the other I ported out with the info from nitrorc.com and damn that engine really screams now. Like I said, I've been really pleased with the Pro .15. It's a great, low cost engine.

Yeah its a good engine for the 16 minutes it may stay in tune, after 3/4 of a tank it dyes, a bitch to tune in general. It's just poop

Mines awesome, I've been happy with it since the day I got it. And it will stay in tune all day. I have to tune it everytime I run it but thats just cuz of Minnesotas wacky weather. (yesterday was 68F and sunny- today was 23 when i woke up and was icky all day) but other thatn that stuff its been a sweet motor. Id take another one, no problem.

pro .15 blows until you port it out. Traxxas purposely made it suck ass though for the newbies (believe it or not). They figured that they shouldn't make it super powerful, but rather better fuel economy. Basically, they didnt pay much attention to detail. After you port it out the right way you will be able to keep up with the Rossi's. Believe me:devious:

I am still running the hell out of a trx .15 pro that NB 30% sold me. It was used when I got it, and I didn't rebuild it.

It tunes down to 240-260 and I run the dogs out of it I am by no means nice.

I did however find that it likes 16% oil trinity monster HP, and other low oil nitro fuel just makes it run hot. It's all in the right fuel for the right engine!

your not answering my questions god!! all i did was ask and only 1 person said probably all of tou other are fighting about stupid crap

can put a 2.5 crank in a pro 15 and if i can will it change performance?

Oh yeah i wanted to know will a better carb make an engine faster?

umm i just send in my previous post that the cranks are different. as far as a carb, the OS carb from like a OS .12 or OS .15 will work. i think its a OS 10C carb or somethin.. its been awhile.

later
