hi,
my spur gear was damaged, so i repacled it with the metal ones. now the problem is the wheels are moving if the truck is off the ground, but moves very slow when on the ground. even if i give full throttle it does not move as before. i have also noticed that the slipper clutcth was missing when i had removed the damaged spur gear. is it nesessary to have a slipper clutch. what should i do now. please help.

There's your problem. You need the slipper clutch. When the spur gear turns, it's the slipper that transfers the power to the trans.
If you need info on how to install it, post again.

Rolex,
The Slipper Clutch Pad Is Attahced To The Spur Gear. Now The Problem Is My Stainless Steel Slipper Plate Is Missing. The Part No Is 72130. Were You Telling About The Same Part Or Some Thing Else.

in a way yes. the slipper clutch is the combination of parts; pads, plate spring and nut. you'll need all of them for the slipper to work correctly.

Take the clutch plate out of a 1:1 car, and you can still start and rev the engine.
Put the clutch plate back without the pressure plate, and you get the same thing. Engine runs but the car won't move. you're missing the 'pressure plate.'
Now, with the clutch plate in, the pressure plate in, and everything bolted properly together, you can drive it.

Same thing on a smaller scale with R/C. The clutch needs to be secure to turn the trans shaft.
Once that's all done, you'll be set.
It's the centrifugal clutch on the front of the engine that gets things started as it picks up revs, but the slipper clutch is there to absorb shock through the drive train.
