ey guys,
well got my new savage yesterday and started the run in procedior.
on the second tank of fuel, the wheel came apart, the pin sliped out, which made then control arm collapise.

Then today on my 5th tank, its lost pwr to the wheels!!!!
it just revs out, no frd motsion.
could it be a gearbox problem???
sounds like it!
what pisses me off is that I've been good to it, not been given it to much of a hard time.

has this happened to anyone else???

Not trying to be mean or anything, but using punctuation and proper spelling will help us understand your problems.

Is that better, sorry ..... I'm not a nerd.

You might have just stripped the spur gear. Did you checked the meshing before you ran it?

I'm sorry, I was not aware that you have to be a nerd to use proper English. Personally, I feel education and being able to put forth a clear concise thought is a very valuable and marketable tool. It helps others get the correct message and prevents miscommunication.:stick:
With that being said I would check spur gear (the big round thing with teeth on the transmission); as was said above or the slipper clutch for proper tightness.

gear mesh is making sure that the teeth between your spur geat and clutch bell are in proper alignment. also you might want to check your slipper clutch and make sure its not to loose.

Actually, no, I didn't. I am just saying, it is easier to help someone who doesn't know what stuff is called, when I don't have to sit there and think about what the heck he just said.

heh heh... don't be mean now...but yeah...I know what you mean...cool take it easy...RC FOR LIFE....!!!

how do you know if the spur gear and clutch bell are meshed properly? i already stripped a spur gear because of this.

cut a small strip of paper from a magazine and run that strip into the gears...the paper should help you get the mesh right...try that ...hope that helps..

I got another problem too...I press my brakes and my engine shuts down..what do you think the problems is??? i tried adjusting the idle needle but same results... any help thanks!
