I just got a used T-Maxx 2.5. It was working great until now. In the middle of running it the truck just sat there idling. I keep puling the remote trigger on the controller but no respond. I changed all the batteries on the truck and remote, still nothing. Could it be the remote itself has gone bad? The servos for turning work. Also when you flip the power switch on the truck the throttle servo twitches but thats about it. Any ideas?

well, if it twitches when you hit the power, its obvoisly getting power. does it have a failsafe? if so check to see if its kicked on. then try to reverse the servos on the reciever to see if it does the same thing to the same servo.

Hey Big J,

I recently Had this very same problem. Upon disassembling the servo I discovered the servo's motor kept getting stuck when I was braking. Take appart the servo remove servo gears, then connect servo and turn on car, now with finger spin the servo main gear on the motor. If it starts spinning then use your remote to throttle up, and brake. You Should notice the little gear will spin back and forth. In my case when I braked hard my servo gear would stop spinning and get stuck. I was able to run the car as long as i didn't brake, though I replaced the servo with a digital futaba servo. You may need to replace your servo as well.

Plug the servo into your steering servo port then turn the wheel to see if the servo is good. If it is, then it's your receiver or transmitter. If not, then you can try what gabskee suggests.

thanks guys, after some testing it was just a bad servo.
