Ok This one has me scratchin my head. I can usually fix just about every thing on this sucker, know the revo inside and out. But now I have absolutly no clue. So I go out side just now to run a tank threw my basher with a 3.3. It was running great. Then about a quarter in it started to act funnyer then hell. When I would just hammer down the throttle it would almost stutter in power. If you a dirt bike guy, its like when you have a rich lag. The top end is good, but just when I nail it it stutters. I took everything apart, clean and shinny just the way I left it after the modd job. The needles were set perfectly and I know theres no way there out of wack. But can a carbs needle get gumbed up. I noticed as soon as this started to happen my temps dropped to 190. Ususally I run about 205. I'm stumped. It can't be lean theres just no way. The glo plug is a nice brown color. This is why I'm stuck on the needle gumbed up thing. Anyone heard of this.

If I can't shake this, at least it gives me a excuse to lay down the dough on a rb lol.

Does it bog? If you hold the throttle down does it die? This usually happens to me when I'm running a little to rich or the engine isn't hot yet.

Ya it kinda bogs just brefily. But dosent die. I thought Maby I put to much air filter oil, so I put a stocker on and same thing. This is weird. Works going to suck tonight, thinking about this lol.

"The glo plug is a nice brown color."

I'm no pro here by any means, but I thought the plug should be a clean, flat grey.??
GHM

i think when its gray llike that means your just on the edge of beeing too lean if its just brown with no carbon buildup its beacause you're slightly on the rich side of max hp

Bryson, two suggestions:

1. Break the carb down. I'm betting dollars-to-dougnuts your needles are a bit gummed up. It's happened to me a time or two. Take it off the engine and back the needles clear out (both high and low). Take any rubber O-rings out then soak that sucker in some DA for a bit. Blow it out nice and dry and put the needles and O-rings back in and set 'em to factory.

2. If it still acts up like you mentioned, try leaning the top end a tad.

I think the needles are bit gummed up, personally, so I'd try that before trying to lean it out.

You mention you modded it, what did you do?
