So... I'm super new at nitro rc i have 3 T-maxx 2 2.5 and 1 3.3 also a jato 3.3 but for the life of me i can't tune any of them. the jato i have had the most sucess with i can get it started and it will run for a few min but then die and i can't get it started again it has the easy start my low spped is flush with the collar high speed is 4 and 3/8 turns on the high speed idle is as hi as it will go with out jumping. simlar settings for the T-maxx but i can't even get them started i just dont know what to do any more :(
 
high speed is turned 4 turns what? left or right? right will lean it left will richen it i would turn it more rch and try again, try doin 1/4 turns until you get in the ball park of tuned then fine tune it from there
 
Seal all the engines, replace all the fuel line and make sure there isn't any other air leaks. New glow plugs and a fully charged ignitor. Charge the wand battery and start at factory settings.
 
Horrible advice on the leaning the HSN guys.... lean the LSN and you will get to the correct mixture for perfect starts, a stable idle and a lot more acceleration. Then you may need to richen the HSN. It's not easy, but with a bit of patience you'lll get it. That is the proper way to tune.

That's at factory settings, right Scrogg? If an engines loadin' up, start with the lsn. Get 'er to start and idle, leave it alone(keep it running) until it warms up for a few and start driving. Should be smokin' like hell; running cool. Start with the hsn, 1 hour at a time, running for 2 to 3 minutes while keeping an eye on the performance and temps. Continue until it has good top end and is in the proper temp range. Visible stream of blue smoke. Then if the low end is sluggish, and smokin' a lot at idle, repeat the process on the lsn. Only it shouldn't take as much adjustment. Adjust the idle as needed through out the tuning process. This is how I've done it with success. Does this sound right to you?
