Yes,the .15 carb is rotary. Here's a pic,I hope it helps you. I can get other views if you need it.

Coulde you post some pics of what that side of the carb looks like and where the throttle plugs onto the carb at

how do you set up the servo so that the brake wont engage when giving the car more throttle

The posted pics show a reversed carb, throttle and brake linkage from the stock setup.

In stock form the carb throttle arm would be on the drivers side and the brake rod in the brake post would be on the passenger side with the brake/throttle linkage arms swapped in the servo horn.

Either way will work but as posted above the brake is actuated by the linkage rod pushing the brake instead of pulling it. Pulling the rod most always works best with brakes, when pushing; if the rod flexes braking performance will suffer.

In the stock form the throttle linkage from the servo horn to the throttle arm has a bend to clear the spur gear and then a 90° bend to go through the carb throttle arm. Two locking barrels are used (1 on the outside of the throttle arm, and 1 on the inside of the arm to lock the linkage to the arm.
The brake linkage rod simply slides through the eye of the post arm when throttle is applied and pulls against the fuel tubing or spring to actuate the brakes.

This is a stock setup for the pro.15 throttle/brake.

could you post a pic of the side view of the throttle linkage on the carb please :)

do you know anywhere that would carry the linkage i just oredered some the other day and I'm hoping that it will work. I went to a lhs and they were telling me that the tamxx that i have should have a rotary carb and should be a sliding carb but mine is a first gen tmaxx with a .15 engine :\
