hey guys i have a t-maxx 2.5 EZ that goes du du when i try and start it then it binds:angry: I can move the flywheel a little bit to get it outta top dead center (i think thats the term) and it'll go dudu again. I'm a newbie, my name is Jeb help me please :D

Is it a new engine? If it is, take your plug out and put a small amount of nitro fuel in there then crank it over. Check your one way bearing. Remove your ez start from the backplate and you'll see a bearing. Clean that with some wd40. Put your hsn at 4 turns out, and lsn flush with the end of the carb barrel. This should get ya going. Let me know how ya make out......;)

no it's not a new engine I bought the car from my buddy who was having money probs, for cheap idk i'll try these things thanks i'll post later

forget the ez and get a pullstart most likely the EZ motor is fried

Use the search function and read up on T Maxx's until your eyes hurt.:) You need to determine if there is a mechanical problem, or if it's something as simple as your wand battery being dead. First, turn the flywheel with your finger. It should move smooth, while getting harder as you approach the top of the stroke(compression). Make sure nothing is binding and that your wand battery is fully charged, then we'll take it from there. What battery and charger are you using? Is the glow plug new? Is the ez start heating the plug or are you using an ignitor? What kind of fuel and how fresh? Did you mess with the needles?

I've had problems with my ez start also, and its so damn frustrating when the battery dies. Was going to put the pull start on but when the ez start works its just so damn convenient! :D

i had problems with mine to on my revo ...a gear was binding inside the starter housing ...which would kill my battery pretty fast ....i fixed it and never had problems with it since ....and its a good thing to have a spare battery for it ...they are pretty cheap on fleebay ;).....

that way , if the battery dies , you just swap it and keep going ......with the pull start , if it brakes , your done ...you need to take it appart ...which i find is not that fun ..lol

well, i took everything apart for a good cleaning and, everything seemed fine. then i looked at the piston and, it was chipped so i had metal in there. now the question is to the exchange for for a 3.3 or buy the rebuild kit? tell me what you think boys. On a positive note I learned alot taking everything apart. It's pretty cool how they can fit so much technology into such a small package.

exchange for a 3.3, big difference and well worth the money. I'm not a fan of Traxxas but their 3.3 is something I would recommend. And the only problem with the EZ start on my Maxx was that the wires came apart and they had to be resutured together otherwise I had no problems with it. I put the 3.3 in my Maxx and it does wheelies whether you want it to or not unless you have the suspension set right, but I actually love my 3.3. Favorite part of my Maxx

Now now there is no need in puttin people's rigs down. It doesn't matter which brand it is they all need to be worked on at some point. Beside what would you consider a "real r/c truck"?

Did you hit your head as a child? did you not see the humor.and the little laughing icon..i was joking around..
