We have a 2 wheel drive Rustler that I enabled lipo mode on the XL5 ESC. I bought a pair of 2s lipo batteries and ran the car the last few weekends. Everything works as expected, run time is around 30-35 minutes per battery.
The only issue is when it hits low voltage cutoff I can’t turn the car off unless I unplug the battery. Small price to pay, and not a huge deal. Curios if this is normal.

Interesting.
We’re able to turn it off normally up until Low voltage cutoff, wonder why when LVC kicks in it ceases to work.

Yes it’s normal on the older ones they could turn off but not all new traxxas ESC’s you have to unplug the battery it’s more of a safety feature the other day on slash facebook group someone accidentally left it plugged in almost set fire to their house burnt the ESC
