ok i broke the screw mounts on the traxxas servo cap therefor it will not mount the the trucks mounts... is there a way to buy just the servo cap or do i have to but another brand new servo just for the cap?

You should be able to buy just the case. Here is one for a 2055 servo:

Any Traxxas case will work I'm pretty sure. If you have an old, junk servo laying around, you could try it. Or just order the case for your particular servo.
