I may have mentioned I am a fan of the Traxxas 1/10 4x4 models.

I decided to add a Telluride to my little pile, and found a good deal on a roller... $75.

I next found an original body, it is a bit scuffed up, but only to the point of 'character' instead of trashed.

Today I started dis-assembling the chassis and although really dusty, it is complete except the battery strap, and the hardware is not rusted. Pulled the old XL-5 ESC, 12T brushed motor, and TQ receiver, all will be replaced.

Pulled the 48P stall clutch and dropped in a center diff with 32P spur gear.

I had to make a center drive shaft for it as the plastic just ain't going to cut it with a brushless setup I plan to install.

Camber and steering links will be replaced with HD versions and the axle carriers, steering blocks and drive shafts will be updated with the current Extreme HD versions.

Bro, love the Telluride. Always wanted one. Can't wait to see the completed build!

After tearing apart the front and rear assemblies, I decided to just keep it mostly stock, since the parts are all in such good condition, and it's gonna spend more time on the shelf than out bashing. So, I just replaced the fixed camber links with some old-style turn-buckles (to match the steering links).
Losi Pro aluminum shocks too.

I have a mild brushless setup in mind...

This is great! Last year I turned my Stampede 4x4 into a Telluride with a 13.5t sensored motor. It was a blast to drive. It crawled quite well and was a hoot on the trails. It had enough speed to hit some jumps. An all around fun truck.

I've had this old Onyx 2S/3S brushless set on the shelf for a couple of years, figured one day I'd use it somewhere... about a perfect fit for this, and it'll only ever see 2S.

Battery strap is on order, should be here Monday.

This build is awesome!! So nice to see another fellow Telluride owner still running it! I just had mine out a couple weeks back with my 7 year old son, and he managed to break the control arm off the front... So I decided to do what EVERYONE in the hobby says not to do. First I went to Integy.com, and then ordered ALL the aluminum parts for the front and rear end for the Telluride... So In the next couple weeks I plan to get it all put back together with a new HOBBYWING Quicrun 10BL120 G2 & 3660SL G2 Combo, new gearing for the brushless setup, and Injora shocks. I will try and post a build thread like you have hear.

I want to get new wheels/tires for it as well.. The stock wheels I find not so pretty, and the tires are getting hard.

Welcome to RCT
The Telluride is a nice piece, looking forward to your rebuild!

Thanks for the welcoming messages! Its definitely nice to be back in the hobby after about a 8-10 year break. When I start a build thread I will share the link to it in this thread.
