The 6 corner hex one way bearing fits the pro.15 engine. The round with 2 flat sides one way bearing fits the 2.5 and 3.3 engines.
There are 2 different size/types of Traxxas pull starters and ex starts for the engines as well. The early type uses the 6 corner hex and is for use with the pro.15 engine.
The later type with the round with 2 flat edges fits the 2.5 and 3.3 engines.

It appears you may be running a Pro .15engine and will need the 6 corner hex one way bearing and the compatible pull starter. The One Way Bearings can fit either of the engines starter shaft but the pro.15 and 2.5/3.3 ez start & Pull starters are not interchangeable.

If you are running the pro.15 engine, the previous info about the carb baseline/stock needle setting are incorrect as well as they are different than the 2.5 and 3.3 engines.

Do you know what engine you are running? Have any pics of your setup?

Ok, thnx, I think I have bought the wrong part then.... I can't upload any pics yet, but I'll do it soon

Here are some pictures...

I dn't know if this help, it was in a dark room, and another thing: This traxxas t-maxx is VERY old, I think:p

Yep, you have an old Pro.15 engine (with a broken backplate corner) and a 2.5/3.3 pull starter. You will need the .15 pull start to make it work.

Get a new engine lol, i mean i understand your trying to get this engine working. but honestly youll probably be having alot of head ache with this engine. maybe upgrade to 2.5 ? or even 3.3 if you really want some power lol. 160 bucks bran new on ebay. just sayin.

And Traxxas has a engine replacement/trade-in program, you get a hefty discount.

I was quoted $120 for brand new from factory, with giving them my old motor. The one you are looking at on ebay is cheaper though...

Ohh well that works even better. Do you have to have a warranty in order to have the trade in option or will they just take any traxxas engine whether or not. I remember they used to have like where as long as you have a warranty and aslong as the engine has the bar code on the bottom they will work on it but if you dont have it they wont do anything to it.

But yeah they are pretty good about fixing stuff you send in.

LHS told me just to bring motor, minus flywheel and clutch and I will get one right off the shelf with pull start. I dont have any original paperwork, being I bought off someone used. I dont know anything about bar code though, they didnt say anything about it. good luck

The Traxxas trade in program does not require a warrantee, bar code, registration or even being the original owner.
All that’s required is all the pieces of the engine are included with the trade in. Doesn’t matter if the con rod has split and gone through the block or the piston is broken in pieces. They (Traxxas) are not going to use any part of the trade in engine again).

The real advantage of the trade in compared to an e-bay engine is you will know for certain that the engine is new and complete with a carb, air filter, OWB and a pull starter unlike many e-bay engines for a similar price that often do not include all the above.

Idk back in the day when i had the 2.5 i just ordered a 2.5r because i just wanted a new motor. and got it from ebay. you can tell if its brand new or not and ebay companies nowadays do all they can to satisfy the customer and ebay requires all sellers to have accurate info or the buyer will get a full refund and be able to keep the product. pretty fool proof site now. just as good as buying from any other online place. but then again traxxas is great for the trade in they take care of their customers its nice.

Yeah, but can I also use the same tooth-wheels and clutch and all that on a 3.3, as the pro 15?

PS;: I'm living in Norway, so It will cost me to get it here too...

It seems like the traxxas company are very nice, and that they really wan't people to be happy with them, and not just doing their job, the also that little extra...? This is just what I've got an impression of reading what ur telling me.

Once you get your new engine, read the manual first!

The clutch bell (metal gear), spur gear (big plastic gear), motor mount, and pullstarter you bought that was wrong will all work. You must inspect your clutch pads, spring, and flywheel pins to determine if they're useable though. The following link will give you the instructions you need:
