Traxxas T MAXX .15 Upgrade

Put it in a zip lock, and poke the crank out. This will keep metal particles from getting in to the engine anywhere when you cut it. Also you will want to put a cut nut on the crank before you cut it, or you won't be able to get anything to thread on to the crank again. After you cut the crank, take the nut off and it will repair the end of the threads on the crank shaft.

thanks, i got everything to fit and it works great! However, one small problem. The exhaust port on that engine comes out the back, so my pipe sticks straight up in the air. Anyone know of a good header that I can use to bring it around to the side? Thanks again.

use a stock 3.3 one for a maxx..........

this exhaust is held on by a spring, i believe the traxxas one is screwed on?

Oh ya, sry. You might get the spring to hook into the back of the screw holes on the traxxas one. Or drill little holes in the side of the threading to make hook points. If you do just Test drive it EASY!!!

Upgrade kit to 2.5 or the 3.3 engine

I have what I believe is a Traxxas T Maxx 1.5. It was given to me, and I was unable to get any information off of the engine, but the e-z start did say .15 on it. The cooling head was purple, if that helps. Anyway, the engine has poor compression, and instead of repairing, I decided that I would like to upgrade. I wanted to put in the Traxxas 3.3 engine. Will this fit inside the truck? Thank you for looking.
