i was just reading another forum and they were right the t maxx and the sportmaxx are good mts but they need to come hop upped right out of the box i mean people put alot of money into aluminum parts. and put a .18 or .21 in it and not make a new truck but just improve it because if you think about it all the other teams have new trucks and cars. buy christmas who knows what the other brands will have out and if traxxas doesn't upgrade the i think they may fall behind because people will be looking for better like me. like make it bigger like a 1/8 scale. that would be cool and make it taller with more ground clearence and wider tires and just all around wider and longer but try hard to keep it light and with the sportmaxx put a 2 speed in it. they would make so much dam money and a bigger gas tank. thats just my opinon. what are everyone elses opinons but dont get me wrong i think the trucks are good from what I've heard so I'm not saying there even bad i can talk i dont have one.

Not to trash your thoughts or anything, but you are voicing nothing new and are in a limited position to voice a sincere opinion. Why? You do not own any of the above trucks. Your thoughts become pure conjecture or based on someone else's opinion, making them at best hearsay.

Perhaps you should just take the plunge. Get a truck. Formulate your own opinion of the vehicle and then voice said opinion. Until then, you are not really in any position to criticize much.

I will say that your observations are not new ones.

no i wasn't trashing the maxxs i think i said i was just saying that would be cooler if they had like a huge engine in them and came like with hop ups like alum shocks towers and bulkheads. thats all

We like Ponies. If you were thinking about getting a Pony, would you want to upgrade his saddle before you rode him? Maybe you would want a horse because the pony had smaller shoes and they wouldn't be as heavy-duty as regular horse shoes.
Once you buy the Pony of your choice, we will give you advise on what saddle would be best for the type of riding you prefer.
His stock shoes would work fine if you just trotted on an oval track, but if you plan to bash your Pony, Titanium shoes would be my recommendation, along with a Gel-Pad saddle.

Not saying that you were trashing the Maxx. Just noting that you are not in a great position to criticize something you have never owned. The T-Maxx and Sport Maxx are designed for entry level hobbyists and have quite a market and following. Yes, modelers have been dinging TRAXXAS for not developing a 1/8 scale model with a larger engine in it for some time.

If you prefer a larger truck with all the things you described, then look at the Savage, the Losi LST, AE MGT, and other 1/8 scale trucks.

Think of it like shopping for a real car. If you do not find what you like with one manufacturer, go look at another.

But as I said, until you have owned one...do not criticize it.

yea but i have like 350 to shop with i mean what can i get good for that I've looked but i dont know do you have any suggestions for me

$350 will not buy you much in the new RTR category. Have you looked at anything in the used category. I sold a well kept Savage for $200 and a well kept T-Maxx for $350. Both had some upgrades.

You might find that your money could get you a decent deal on a used MT in great shape with hop ups thrown in.

I have a black Revo, and it is awesome! I race MTs and have owned many, I like this one out of the box far better than the MGT or the LST, sold my LST a few days ago, and am still keeping my HIGHLY modified MGT, but the Revo is faster than either at everything, and I have a few changes yet to make!! As an avid and experienced MT racer, I am VERY pleased with the Traxxas offering, light, fast, nimble, and yes even with the stock motor I am turning faster laps than the 1/8 scales on this shorter big air track that I run on.
3 THUMBS UP!!

Love your punctuation!!!! If you can't afford a new truck then go used or wait until you can afford one. Stop writing about trucks weaknesses and that they suck and stuff like that. If you have no personal experience with something don't talk about it. There is no need for this thread if you would do a search you would find that others have already said what you just said, but its from personal experience so its VALID!

So here's the deal..........wait until you can afford a new truck that is just what you want, or buy a used truck that is what you want. Its a simple solution, and when you get your truck then you can post about it, ask questions about it, then give your opinions.

personaly i would keep your eye at watch in the fs/ft forum and wait till someone getting out of the hobby you find a great deals then!!your 350.00 will go a long way in the used market, and wont even get you in the door in the new market...
