Traxxas Is Sold

Former Vice President and General Manager Mike Jenkins has announced the purchase of Traxxas Corporation from previous owner David Katz. The sale was effective as of July 1, 2003.

In 1986, Mike’s father, Jim Jenkins started Traxxas Corporation with co-founder David Katz. In 1994 Jim Jenkins sold his interest to Katz. With the recent purchase, Mike is now the sole owner of Traxxas.

Mike was the first employee of the original Traxxas Corporation and during the last 17 years has been involved in all aspects of the business. Since serving as Vice President, Mike has been responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations and has been a significant driving force behind Traxxas’ phenomenal growth in recent years.

In a statement, Mike said, “Building R/C cars is all I ever wanted to do professionally. I look forward to building on our reputation for service and integrity. The people of Traxxas are committed to bringing many more revolutionary new products to our industry.”

Traxxas Corporation will now be known simply as Traxxas.

Lets see,
I just took over a large corporation. My first order of business will be to reorganize our forum.....

I'm sorry guys, how could I not have my priorities straight?
It would be nice to have a good relationship with them due to a change in management and attitude of there on-line forum but don't hold your breath.

All we can do is hope they realize this os one of their shortcomings and do something about it.

Whatever happened to our new friend Traxxas Support? I would love to hear his/her input on this.

I have to agree with Eddy though, I would not hold my breath on those two getting a permanent vacation from traxxas but it would be nice.
